 The Mi’kmaq Wolastoqiyik Association of Social Workers exists to advance the profession and practice of social work in Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik communities. By ensuring that social work practice reflects and respects Indigenous ways of helping and caring for each other; to support social justice in those communities; to promote the languages, traditions, culture, history and ways of knowing, learning and healing and maintaining and facilitating cultural connectedness.
